Maker + Momma + Entrepreneur = Home made mom life

When women cross the threshold into motherhood, everything else momentarily falls away. Our lives are filled with love so strong it can feel almost terrifying and then the days begin to rush by in a blur.

‘We must remember this moment’ we tell ourselves just as soon as another moment commences.

The smiles that we are told are only gas, quickly turn to belly laughs. Teetering first steps become reckless sprints, scraped knees and broken bones. As the sand continues to pour through the hourglass our little’s become real people with their own thoughts and dreams…and they will grow and grow and grow until they are ready to be swept away in the blur of their own adulthood.

I will always be a mom first and foremost, but I refuse to lose myself in the process. This blog is a place to hold on tight to the things I love while the ones I love grow before my eyes.

I love to make things by hand, and develop healthy versions of classic recipes. I love to have real conversations about things that actually matter, (no celeb gossip here!) Growing up poor evoked in me a lifelong love of thrifting that has now turned into a creative side hustle, and whether I’m any good at it or not, I love to write.

So forgive me if this blog is a bit of a cluster f@#$ but that’s me. That’s who I am. If you’re a granola momma, a creative type of just here for the healthy recipes, wrap yourself in a vintage sweater, grab a kombucha and join me on this journey.

Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules and build a life you’re proud to live. – Anne Sweeney
